Hey guys! This is my very good friend Brendon:

image

He is competing for the title of “Buck”, which essentially means that he will be the face (and smokin’ hot bod) of our local country radio station, 107.9

He is one of four finalists, and the competition is fierce—just look at John’s bitchin’ beard and Nick’s fabulous hat.

It would mean a lot to him (and me, your grateful blogger!) if you would vote at the link above and reblog this post. We’ve got less than a day to get him to victory!

There’s no sign-up to vote, you just click the link, scroll down a bit (after ogling the half-nekkid menfolk, of course) and click on the little bubble next to Brendon’s name. Hit vote, and you’re done! You can also vote multiple times, just refresh the page!

Thank you so much for your support. If he wins, I’ll see what I can do about getting some exclusive pics of him… Maybe in the cowboy hat? And ONLY the cowboy hat.

Hey look, an update!

WIP of my Stiles/Derek split thingy.

I found a cool double-frame at a thrift store the other day, and I decided that it would be perfect to showcase a Derek/Stiles piece.

So, in case you weren’t paying attention, I’ve decided to call this piece “Harvest Moon”, because the colours when I began resided very much in the red-orange-burnt gold side of the spectrum. I resisted, but the colours would not be deterred. They were very determined, and I decided to toss my titling skills out the window and say “FUCK IT.”

Now for the important bit of this post. As I was finishing up the last few colours in this, the mail came, and I received a gorgeous brown cardboard box, out of which came Harvest Moon, an absolutely stunning tea blend by the wonderfully talented Daunt. If you’ve so far managed to be in this fandom without hearing of her OR her tea blends, shame on you. Go forth and remedy that. I’ll wait.

Point is, I finished “Harvest Moon” while drinking a mugful of Harvest Moon (fantastic with a tiny bit of milk, I didn’t need to add any sweetener).

"Harvest Moon" just needs to be ironed, framed, and put up on Etsy (I’m referring to the cross-stitch, not the tea; although it would be an interesting experience to try ironing and framing tea).

If you’re interested in this cross-stitch, or a custom commission, don’t hesitate to send me a message!

So, I’m almost finished with “Harvest Moon”, when I look through my thread box and realize….

I’m missing a single colour.

I’m going to huff and whine and generally be petulant for several hours, because this means that I have to go to the art store, and I really didn’t want to have to put on pants today.

Sneak peek at the first session of my new project.

I tried really really hard to title this something other than “Harvest Moon”, but the colours make a very compelling argument. They will not be denied.

Hey, remember when I cross-stitched the Deadpool symbol on a leather wristband?

You don’t? Oh. Okay. Go here.

I’ll wait.

Are you back yet?

Okay, cool.

Pretty nifty, right?

Well, this time, I’m doing a TARDIS.

Keep an eye out!

Hey, look! I made a thing!

This is (probably) the final product of my first Sterek pattern. I may do some tweaking here and there, but I like it as is. What do you think?

By the way, turning Dylan’s adorable nose into a viable cross-stitch pattern was NOT A SIMPLE TASK.

Time to mount, frame, and put this baby up on Etsy!

Drop me a message if you’re interested in this pattern, or a custom commission!

Reblogging for the morning crowd.

boydoicry asked: what program do you use to make your patterns? i make mine by hand but i feel like they aren't perfect enough for my liking! Do you use the KG cross stitch one?

No, I make mine by hand as well, in MS Paint. I have a base grid pattern that I fill in with the proper colours, and then I assign a symbol to each colour. It’s time-consuming, but I find it much simpler and I prefer to choose the colours by eye, rather than letting a machine do it for me.

Third session of my first Sterek pattern! It’s starting to actually look like Derek. Stiles is still a bit fuzzy. *frowny-face*

Please, for the love of god, someone help me come up with a better title than “Hey There, Sourwolf”. My titling skills are shit.

Second session of my first Sterek pattern!

I’m starting to regret positioning them so far apart. I probably could have gotten away with stitching them a little closer.

Ah, well. We learn from our mistakes.

First session of my new Sterek piece. I’ll probably title it something obvious.

"Personal Space, Sourwolf" or something. I dunno.

I really like how all the sections of Stiles’ face are rounded and organic, and Derek’s are angular and geometric. I’m glad that translates well to cross-stitch.

Follow me for more progress shots, I’ll probably be working on this non-stop for the next several days. Because sleep is for the weak.

Oh god, shoot me.

Starting my very first Sterek cross-stitch design.

Am I stoked? Yes. Yes, I am.

You should be, too.

Newest WIP shot.

I adore it, but I’m also completely horrified that I would make this. 2014!Cas is my Kryptonite. Just the thought of him sends me into a foetal position.

Well, being a masochist is part-and-parcel of being a Supernatural fan, right?

The very first in my new line of superhero wristbands!

This is a (VERY) stylized Deadpool cross-stitched onto a handmade leather wristband. I was given the idea by the incredible Jay, so this first one is for her!

I’ve got another Deadpool in the works, as well as a Batman, Green Lantern, and X-Men. Shoot me a message if you’ve got a request!
